‘Here Comes Trouble’ is a rigorous personal investigation into womanhood and Keira Martin’s individual identity.

Through a series of robust episodes drawing on social and cultural influences from Yorkshire, Ireland and Jamaica, Keira rhythmically weaves together traditional music, authentic song and gutsy dance.

Best described as Irish dance deep in thought, she shares hard hitting and heart-warming chapters of her life to courageously address stereotypes and challenge labels. Witness her build bridges and burn them again, each time revealing a deeper layer of herself and her heritage. This feisty yet vulnerable performance is entertaining and demonstrates the power and elegance of women in a very real and honest way. POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

 

Friends of Tetbury Hospital - Film Night "Hampstead" - 7th March

Hampstead is a funny, uplifting and full of heart film starring Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleeson. The film is shown by courtesy of Tetbury Film society in the Dolphins Hall 7pm for 7.30pm start. Ileana Ruhemann and Gillian Tingay promise you a magical evening.  Elegant and charming music for flute and harp: the Tetbury Goods Shed are delighted to host this accomplished duo from the eminent Chamber Ensemble The Fibonacci  Sequence.  This evening’s programme includes music  from Bach, Ravel, Debussy, Elgar to mention just a few. The Clown in the Moon @ The Goods Shed - 10th March

The Clown in the Moon (the title of a poem written when Dylan was 14) is a dramatic portrait of the poet’s chaotic, frequently hilarious, and all-too-brief life.

Set in a BBC studio, it recreates some of Dylan’s famous broadcasts and iconic works alongside vivid reminiscences of his clownish antics in pubs, bars and at parties and his encounters with a host of eccentric and volatile women.

 

Mothering Sunday Lunch @ Highgrove - 11th March

Guests will be welcomed to the Orchard Restaurant with a glass of champagne, before being seated for a delicious three-course lunch, which will be accompanied by music from their resident pianist.

Every Mother will receive a gift as a memento of the day and there will also be the opportunity to visit the Highgrove Estate Shop.

A late-comer to song-writing, after lifetimes in an Indian Ayurvedic Ashram, as a portrait artist in London and adrift in Cornwall … comic chanteuse, Nicola, will be singing sexy, thrilling, poignant songs of life and love in her show, “Sweet Company.”

Sometimes described as the missing link between Ronnie Barker, Purcell and Edith Piaf, Nicola sings witty, lyrical, startling songs about everyday events that get out of hand.

 

A Tale of Two Gardens - Highgrove Gardens - 24th March

Enjoy a talk by six-time RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winner, Bunny Guinness, along with a delicious two-course lunch and guided tour of the gardens.

Learn about two contrasting gardens; The Royal Gardens at Highgrove and Bunny’s own garden in Cambridgeshire. In 2012 Bunny collaborated with HRH The Prince of Wales to publish the book, ‘Highgrove: The Garden Celebrated’, which showcased Highgrove through the seasons.

With this knowledge, Bunny will highlight the key elements of each garden, explaining why they make they make each one so individual and special - from organic and grand, to self-sufficient and low input - and will help you to decide what you want from your own garden and how to really enjoy it.

Life Beyond the Shows – A Story from Clarence House to Lesotho. Highgrove Gardens - 24th March

Enjoy a talk from one of the UK’s most exciting young garden designers, Matt Keightley, as he shares his experience of creating an award-winning show garden for Prince Harry's Sentebale charity, along with a delicious champagne afternoon tea and guided garden tour of Highgrove.

From meeting Prince Harry at Clarence House to travelling to Africa to see first-hand the work of Sentebale, Matt Keightley tells the tale of how the ‘Hope in Vulnerability’ garden was created for RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2015 and will uncover the trials and tribulations of designing a garden for Chelsea.
