Christmas Craft Fair – Tetbury Goods Shed –  Sunday 1st December

10:00 am – 5:00 pm

Come along to the second day of our two-day Fair for a beautiful selection of gifts and treats from local artisans and find your perfect Christmas gifts.

Choose from jewellery, local pottery, re-imagined items created from all manner of sources, books, prints, glass art and much much more.

Among those exhibiting are Hook House Pottery, Nat Morley, who has recently had a very successful exhibition at the Goods Shed, Patricia Chicharro’s paintings on silk and Sally Brooks Raku ceramics.

Tetbury Christmas Tree Festival and Memory Tree – Monday 2nd December to Friday 3rd January 2020

For the third year running Tetbury Town Council will host this fabulous festival – come and see a festive array of beautifully decorated trees supplied and dressed by local organisations, schools and clubs all in the stunning setting of St Saviour’s Church.  You also have the opportunity to leave your memories of loved ones, friends and family, on our Christmas Memory Tree.

 


Tetbury Christmas Light Switch On & Festive Evening – Friday 6th December

Lighting Tetbury up once again on Friday 6 December 2019, the Annual Christmas Lights Switch On will include festive music, carols, market stalls, Christmas crafts and the chance to visit Santa in his grotto.

Watch the lantern procession from 5:40 pm and join the Mayor and a child from St. Mary’s Primary School for the big switch-on at 6:00 pm.

There will also be the opportunity to do some late night shopping in the town’s beautiful independent shops and boutiques!

Christmas trees ranging in size from 2ft to 4ft will be on sale by Tetbury Lions with prices ranging from just £10 to £15.

All trees are ‘non-drop’ and sustainable. They all have roots are are presented in a pot.

Tetbury Community Christmas Carol Service – Saturday  7th December

St Saviours Church Community Annual Carol Service

5:30 pm

For the third year in a row Tetbury Town Council will be hosting this amazing community event – with the success of the last two years services and the popularity of the free mulled wine and mince pies we will be doing it all again!

All welcome – please wrap up warm as it’s a ‘closed’ church – there’s no heating system!

All donations received to go to the Churches Conservation Trust.

Tetbury Goods Shed – All on a Winter’s Night – Johnny Coppin – Saturday 7th December

Printing workshop – wrapping paper, cards and gifts – Sunday 8th December 

10am -1pm

Artique, Talboys House, 17 Church St, Tetbury, GL8 8JG

In this half day workshop you will learn to use traditional block printing techniques to create your own wrapping paper, cards and gift tags.

There will also a chance to use rollers to print some great recyclable wrapping paper.

After a demonstration, we will begin to print onto tissue and a variety of papers and card.

You will choose your favourite blocks to print a cotton bag, napkins or tea towel

Tetbury Community Choir – Christmas Concert – Saturday 14th December

Since September we have been learning ten new pieces chosen by our new Musical Director, Nicola Atwell, that we will perform together with one of our old favourite numbers “Seal Lullaby” by Eric Whitacre.

There will be an opportunity for the audience to join in with a few Christmas Carols  and also listen to performances given by some of the pupils from Westonbirt School.

The evening promises to be an enjoyable festive evening, so do come along and support your local choir.

Tetbury Goods Shed – The Spitfire Sisters – Sunday 15th December

Christmas is The Spitfire Sisters’ favourite time of year. They will be performing festive songs both old and new, with their unmistakable vintage styling and extra mirth for good measure. Bells will be jingled and merriment will be made as they sing a song collection to warm you better than a glass of mulled wine.

Winter Wonderland Christmas Party – Westonbirt House – Friday 20th December

7 pm to 12:30 am (Saturday!)
Join us for a magical and unforgettable evening of festive fun in a beautiful setting steeped in history and heritage. Set in a Grade 1 listed manor house in the middle of a stunning 210 acre estate, this will be a very special event and we are looking forward to welcoming guests from the Cotswolds and beyond.
Tables seat 8 so may be shared for groups of less than 8 guests.
