Tetbury Art Society Spring Exhibition - 29th April - 1st May

Tetbury Art Society celebrates it's 40th Anniversary with a special competition of paintings of Tetbury to be judged by President of the RWA Stewart Geddes. Open 10am - 5pm, Admission Free, for more information www.tetburyartsociety.org.uk 

 

Tetbury Wacky Races - 1st May

Wacky Races will be held on the usual course from Chippping Car Park down Chipping Hill with a hairpin bend down into the Millenium Green. Carts of all shapes will be competeing in this fun event. Cotswold Airport - The Wurzels - 1st May

The Wurzels will be performing at Cotswold Airport GL7 6BA, with supporting act undisCOVERED. Gates open at 5pm with performance starting at 6.30pm, this is an outdoor event and gates will close at 10.30pm. Real ale and cider tent, hog roast and other refreshments will be available. A Light between Oceans 

Tom is a World War I veteran who maintains a lighthouse off the shore of Australia with his wife Isabel, a woman desperate to have a baby. Her prayers are answered when an infant washes up on shore in a rowboat. Tom thinks they should notify the authorities but ultimately gives in to Isabel's wish to keep the girl. Fate strikes again when the couple meet the child's biological mother on the mainland. Now, Tom and Isabel must make a decision that will forever affect the lives of four people.

Talk by Stephen Lewis and Magdalen Jebb. Creating beautiful fabric and wallpapers with the help of local artists and craftspeople. Annual Hymnathon at St Marys Church Beverston - 20th May

Make your requests for this marvellous marathon of hymn singing. Beautiful floral displays in the church, homemade teas in the Old Rectory. Browse through the history of Beverston and the plants for sale in the Castle Stables. Wander through the delightful gardens of Beverston Castle.

 

The Great Tetbury Hospital Boules Competition - 21st May

At The Royal Oak, Tetbury from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Teams of 3/4 people. Entry cost is £80 per team to include  coffee and croissants during registration plus a French Lunch with wine or French beer. All profits from the event will go to Tetbury Hospital.

Westonbirt School - Jazz on the Lawn - 21st May

NGS Open Gardens Week - Hookshouse Pottery - 27th May - 4th June

Hookshouse GL8 8TZ has borders, shrubs, woodland glade, water garden containing treatment ponds (unfenced) with flowform cascades, kitchen garden and orchard.
